Colour gadgets are the delivery devices: gulal poppers that fire a column of colour on a twist, colour cylinders that release a dense cloud, and spray formats. They exist because a handful of powder is intimate and a popper is theatrical — one is how you greet a neighbour, the other is how two hundred people mark a moment at the same instant.

This is the fastest-growing part of the festival range, and the part that travels furthest outside it. A colour cylinder at a stadium, a reveal, or the end of a run is doing the same job it does at Holi.

Why a gadget rather than a handful

A popper changes the timing of colour. Powder thrown by hand disperses over a few metres and a few seconds; a device puts a defined quantity into the air in one instant, at height, on a cue that a hundred people can hit together. That is a different product doing a different job, even though the colour inside is the same corn-starch base.

It also changes who buys. Dry gulal sells through a dealer network to households. Gadgets sell to event organisers, wedding planners and venues, who buy on reliability of firing and on how the colour reads on camera rather than on price per kilo.

Made on the same quality process

The colour inside a gadget comes off the same lines and through the same testing as the loose powder — corn-starch base, chemical-free colourants, raw materials tested at intake. The device around it is a moulded assembly, produced and checked on the plastics side of the plant.

That combination is unusual and it is the reason this category exists here at all: making the colour and making the mechanism in one place means a batch is matched to the device it will be loaded into rather than sourced separately and hoped for.

What is worth settling early

Carriage restrictions: Some gadget formats carry transport restrictions depending on the mechanism and on the destination, and those rules differ by country and by carrier. This is the single most common reason a first shipment in this category is delayed. Tell us the destination early and we will confirm what can ship how before you order.
Indoor use: These are designed for open air. Venues with air handling, smoke detection or hard floors need a conversation first, and many indoor venues will want a written product statement before they will allow one on site.
Combustible dust: The colour inside is corn-starch based and carries the same handling caution as loose powder: safe in the pack and in use, treated as a combustible dust in bulk storage.
Specifications: Formats, fill quantity, effect height and carton configuration are issued per quotation against current production. Ask with your event size and we will give measured figures.

Can colour cylinders be shipped internationally?

Often yes, but it depends on the specific format and on the destination, because carriage rules for these mechanisms differ by country and by carrier. This is the most common cause of delay on a first shipment in this category, so it is worth settling before an order rather than after.
